The music you like. Your grandmother. Your favourite football team. That one teacher. The last series you watched. That one trip. Summertime. Your education...

The list of what makes us who we are is endless. But there's always room to help others: by devoting your time to those in need and immersing yourself in their stories, you can write an unforgettable new chapter in yours.

Find a story, start building yours and tell us about it. If you already have one, don't keep it to yourself.

* Don't worry. This is not a literary competition :)

Just dive in and you'll find out what it's all about and how you feel. I felt it, lived it, enjoyed it and experienced it, and if I have one thing clear in my mind, it’s that next summer I will go back – I want to be a volunteer again!
